Above ground pool liner replacement usually takes one day: drain, remove the old liner, repair the sand or foam base, install the new liner and start filling. Limitless Pools replaces overlap, beaded and J-hook liners on round and oval pools across Kingston, Napanee and Quinte, with a free fixed quote.

Overlap, beaded or J-hook: which liner fits?

The right style depends on your pool wall, not preference. Overlap liners drape over the wall and clip under the top rail. Beaded liners snap into a bead receiver track at the top of the wall. J-hook liners hook over the wall top. We check your track and wall before quoting so the new liner fits first time.

Above ground liner cost

Above ground liner replacement costs far less than inground, and the main factors are pool size, round or oval shape, liner style and gauge, and whether the base or wall needs repair. Use the planning estimate below, then book a free measured quote for a fixed price.

Liner replacement planning estimate

$5,000 to $6,800

A planning range for supply and install before HST, based on published Eastern Ontario prices in 2025 and 2026. It is not a quote. Your measured quote is a fixed price, and water delivery or floor and wall repair is listed separately if needed.

Check the wall before the liner

Rust along the bottom of the wall, a bulging wall or a cracked bottom track are the hidden costs of an above ground liner job. We check them first and tell you if the pool is worth relining. Inground pool? See our inground pool liner replacement page. After the install we can handle your pool openings and closings each year.

Above ground liner questions

How long does an above ground pool liner last?

Most above ground liners last 6 to 10 years in Ontario. Balanced water, a good winter cover and keeping the water level up over winter all help.

Can I reuse my above ground pool base?

Often yes, after smoothing and topping up the sand or replacing a foam pad. Deep footprints, roots or washouts are fixed before the new liner goes in.

How do I know if my liner is overlap or beaded?

Look under the top rail. If the liner folds over the wall and is held by plastic coping strips, it is overlap. If it sits in a track along the top of the wall, it is beaded.

Can you replace a liner in the fall?

Yes. September and early October are good months, and the pool is then closed on our normal schedule.
